On a Beam of Light by Jennifer Berne (with pictures by Vladimir Radunsky) is a fantastic introduction to the life and accomplishments of Albert Einstein. This is a great book for both classrooms and libraries.

The whimsical, dream-like illustrations lead us through Einstein’s life; from his beginnings as a speechless but inquisitive child to a grey haired eccentric genius.

The book celebrates the value of individuality whilst also giving the reader a sense of  Einstein’s importance and contribution to the world of  science.

In the end the reader learns the value of curiosity and is encouraged to lead a life full of wonder, thought and imagination.
